The Q-Extract DNA Extraction Hot Start PCR Kit is ideal for genotyping. It offers rapid and efficient DNA extraction and specific amplification of a broad range of mammalian tissues, plant leaves, bird feathers, fish fins and saliva.

DNA extraction from various mammalian tissues and plant leaves in just 8 minutes is followed by PCR amplification by TEMPase Hot Start DNA Polymerase 2x Master Mix A BLUE.

DESCRIPTION

The Q-Extract DNA Extraction Hot Start PCR Kit consists of Q-Extract DNA Extraction Solution and TEMPase Hot Start DNA Polymerase 2x Master Mix A BLUE.

The non-toxic Q-Extract DNA Extraction Solution is optimized for easy extraction of PCR-ready DNA. DNA can be extracted from various mammalian tissues e.g., mouse tails, ear snips, liver, kidney, lung, plant leaves and saliva.  The one-step lysis is performed in either a thermocycler or heating block and is divided into two simple heating steps. The extracted DNA is ready for PCR without further handling such as vortex, centrifugation or dilutions. DNA extraction from fish fins and bird feathers is similar but requires prolonged incubation for optimal lysis.

The extracted DNA is amplified using the user-friendly TEMPase Hot Start DNA Polymerase 2x Master Mix A BLUE for PCR.

TEMPase Hot Start DNA Polymerase 2x Master Mix A BLUE is a ready-to-use reaction solution. The blue dye and stabilizer within the master mix formulation enables the user to load amplified PCR samples directly to the DNA gel. The red dye also provides visualization of pipetting and mixing

The obtained DNA extract is stable at -20 °C for up to one week and at -80 °C for long term storage.
